Mapping

Property management and recording involves maps. At least it should! Very often the maps are not attached to agreements, references to colour are to be read off black and white photocopies and the boundaries have changed out of all recognition, perhaps even with parcels sold off without any reference made to the principal plan.

Accurate maps are a requirement for land registration. Many maps are prepared for single uses; by implication, this means that clients with other uses cannot interpret them. We aim to make maps as useful to any potential user as possible and for many years hence.

Chalmers & Co's services include:

  • Site survey and property plotting using highly sophisticated AutoCAD and MapInfo software.
  • Linking plotted area with Ordinance Survey (OS) data.
  • Resolving any differences between actual boundaries, intended boundaries and OS mapped boundaries, often in our client's favour.
  • Registration of plans with the Registers of Scotland.
